REVIEWS

Sergio B.
TE stream graduate,
BHFT core team member

“Before entering my algo-developer position in BHFT, my technology stack was quite mainstream for the financial industry (Python, C++) and coding in Julia was very unusual for me. To be on board as fast as possible I joined the TE stream in September, 2022 to sharpen my coding skills in Julia. During my bootcamp course I was offered to solve real-life problems for business that served as prototypes for our everyday toolkit. My previous experience in trading companies was more focused on research and being in development role was challenging at first, but continuous guidance and mentorship from experienced engineering team, their readiness to help on every occasion allowed me to achieve the natural fluency in my skills and even surpass one that I had with my former technology stack. Upon graduating from TE stream in December I was ready to solve both research and development tasks on my position”.

Dan I.
PRE stream graduate,
BHFT core team member

“I am a graduate of a PRE stream, 2022. I started the course in November and successfully finalized it in January. The tasks made me use my brain, required complete immersion and understanding of the processes. The training program is varied: from writing code and working with a database to understanding the concepts of trading and deriving formulas. During the discussion of tasks solutions my mentor asked me questions that allow a deeper understanding of the processes being studied. The course gave me hands-on experience with high frequency data and now I am happy to be one of the BHFT guys!”

Jonah U.
GW stream graduate,
BHFT core team member

“I am a graduate of a GW stream 2022. I started the course in June and successfully finalized it in September. The tasks were quite challenging but pretty interesting, theoretical part expanded my horizons and helped me to learn a lot of new things about Rust programming language. As for practice I met and mastered several new tools and methods that I now use in my daily work. My mentor provided comprehensive support throughout the course 24/7, but did it in such a way that one could find the final solution to a problem or task on his or her own. The course gave me practical knowledge of script writing. Now I am a part of the BHFT team and it's amazing”!
